in nature's shadow, in winter, shades light, evident to eyes
seeing past the radiant existence in summer, so cold ... so cool.

frost angels outline the white maples lining prison lawns
evident that some grow stronger whilst others,
in diminished or growing cast,
wane and wail in nature's shadow.

life is turmoil in a voter's paradise
freedom is to sake; invasion for our lives
not since Independence will a vote sanctify
a Future for our lives

freedom comforts overlapping lies
sightings within exhaustive truths
there within the answers tell
freedom in peril votes above tranquility.

these are confusing times .. i just don't get it anymore
ready or sober, patient, face down or perpendicular to the floor
my life's play.. plays slow .. thought's no matter,
the picture never stops .. in the photograph that it is now;
for the most part

i can't feel Ten Sixteen in the family tree
a life-giver down
in the trenches of my self-awareness grounds of 2K3
i cant even feel familiar for the sense
eyes in a bed for a reference
to the same sounds i heard except peace with hope

if i am there .. where am i.
if i can be there .. where can...i

if i had one day, i'd speak in your tongues
uncover your sadness; why you war
consume your belief; how you spend
listen to your childrens' fears & dreams for hope
answer all you wonder

but i spend my day finding places for your souls
the curable sick beyond his suggestion, not your gift
incidents, accidents avoidable, intentional
sorting through blame in all its translations

but i do this out of love, eternal
