burned patterns hold the ashes in place
beyond wicked storms to follow
retracing memoric mimics of pics,
photographic memories;
just dust storms
reminiscent of the real hurricanes of love
& romanticism
but burned are the patterns
to avoid

"From Inside the Fish Tank"
05/25/08
Out of order stairs profiling peaks, surveys our outcries
While sincerity sees us all for eye-level interviews on floor tiles
Evenly spread, vast equality
Each response helps regain order in staircases
For completing a climb
Exposed step-by-step, looking down
And sometimes looking up for the next move
Decided with sight from underneath.

Metaphors are my reality
To understand thought, verbal input, voice, sound;
Pictures secure my sanity
Even feathers have shapes to understand them

For KC
Where did my demographic go?
Did they grow up on me..
Leave the times we shared..
Not fare for farewell
Where does that leave us either..
Still growing up or just == apart ===
How so?
My mind still wanders in possibility
Have they given up entirely?
I'm not hearing their voices continually in my headset
No tired voices scratched past patient ears speaking messages
What happened to all these kids?
Where did their hearts fall against society?
How many minds followed the words to understand?
How many fell for themselves and helped no one up?
How many still lien instead of push?
This is the cost of freedom questioning.

"Weep My Willow No More"
05/14/08
The weight upon your shoulders
Absorbing all those memories
We spent as children beneath your
reaching yellow-greens
Our hands reaching the tips of yours
Graceful moves, dancing with Atlantic winds
In endless embrace
Weep, my willow, no more
Peace & child-like memories have mended your tired bones
He held your arms to heart, letting you down
Weep, my willow, no more
For it was men and machine to lay down an idea,
Not will.

"Commited Vacation"
05/09/08
One breath in as many before
One last with an objective
To not exhale a "see-saw" fortune for another
But hold onto for eyes to focus
On the last thing that is real around
Eyes closing
Not exhaling is hardly a crime

"But I Wouldn't Be Here"
Nothing would unchapter my story beyond today
But I wouldn't be Here
To read, write, live, try
I could be unknown, undiscovered, vanished
I could suppress in content
I could be among tree trunks in forests
Look up to their might or down to their strength
I could find what I want to give in a breath
From what I want for someone else
I could find peace in what scholars should already know
To seek among the many what one already has
Is to know what to look for in oneself

"Eight Belles to Heaven"
05/05/08
Two halos grace your name,
Someone more to believe in
What never to describe again:
Your precious pride, of knowing
All of Now ... and All of Then
Hearts gallops fell to your side
Tears welled and thoughts grew beyond
The rise & fail of your lungs
You
