There are no words to describe the shock of the story
I heard tonight of the young man that lost his life
Through the ignorance, the arrogance of adults to allow a child handle the force of a clydesdale's kick
In fragile hands meant for praying against violence
That pull that trigger

Everyone dies on this tragedy.

vies for a precedence in an album of reality
trust & comfort, the initiative glue seeking adherence
among dreams, beliefs & memories to satisfy a sanity
building an undefined normalcy

what it takes to see the building blocks
exhausts tear ducts to "if" they see them too
or just "get" the building

she's smart enough to know where to look into answers,
not opinions for her heart
it's not her fault she's asking

May not get to happen to be and
one line can't be expelled for one moment alone
for fear of stealing time in cover

apprehension, in times of first cognisance,
lowers its head in dark felt empathy
to say only, "fault lies in not saying goodbye."

love me & i love you

but i knew the value of human touch
you saw it in my eyes,
my whirly-swirly neck spine
and i can miss you on my own.

while & when i let you in
i tell you my heart in escalation..

too much love at risk
to believe in & to lose at once
no much laughter can bridge love on earth
& elsewhere's tears to realize loss

i took a job with public works
pushing away sewage, garbage, collections of refuse
and i recognized you in amongst the crowd of normals
that gather to watch from time to time

wasn't sure of your intention to be seen
accidental or unknown

i missed feeling something at all on seeing you
time moderated our length in separation to,
"have being missed."
and i felt the concurrence
and i recognized looking eyes

and i was nowhere for being found

orderly waves of energy ebb & angle in the city
disrupted by jagged incidents; rocks, bad souls
an unacceptable harmony;
an orchestra maintained by blue musicians

origins of the streets
now repercussions high above the city.
dealers' tides are turned
though the harmony remains.
fates overseen from within self destructive peers

a whale's tongue extends an open escape on the city's edge
discovered & ignored in unsimilar philosophies
to expedite freedom or maintain a harmony.
