Primate babies born into privilege as any human
We bond & pair up throughout our lives
Some just cousins or acquaintances
But so often siblings or lovers
Strong bonds, fists dug deeper than handshakes into our shoulders
Every animal is unpredictable in domestication
Locking eyes, turning neck muscles inward
Warping quiet memories with anchors to a thought process,
Eyes speak captive now instead of interpreting your gestures
Depths of understanding climbing tree-like branches
Prepare me for the horror to face unlikabilities of victory for this mind wrestle
And thought-out words, constitutional ink prevails
Knocking my heaviest monkey from my shoulders to its feet
& we stare in eye contact to decide mutually
We cannot domesticate this union
I win...someone else may lose to the grip.
