"A Younger Mind in Recursion"

(And the tales they could tell)
07/17/08

Young minds aware of want
Soak up intelligence spilled by older minds
With their blue sponges & bloat

Younger rungs on first climbs
See not themselves as mid-rangers can
To see Themselves and find a pattern;
Recursion---the fortune teller's dream

A moment's chance to see the past
& know themselves as once the future
Recursion
And move forward, ahead, beyond the rungs
And hold the ladder itself

And the climb becomes unimportant upon the last step
Looking down at what was success
Was only ever looking up.
