I didn't realize again until tonight
What September means to me
Sophomore in ten years
My grandfather's end
Unpredicted in September remembered
Confusion climbed the stairs you will in eventual life.
The same, your soles will touch,
These steps in time,
I tried to explain in adult-terms
My grandfather died..
Myself, I never got to believe
What it was to let go
Without closing my eyes in Septembers
