tiny lives dressed in oxygen
beauty in red capes, taking over your arms
knowing all the while the differences of
inside and out
bonding of life & death amidst the two
an instant obvious answer .. and
old addresses, cul-de-sacs on either end
secluded, but from above dream in color
of what they wore that night
until just one day forgets & slips away
into biology; scarred for life
dignity & bravery restored.
